Kathmandu Gurkhas (Nepali: काठमाडौ गोर्खाज) a professional cricket team based in Kathmandu, Nepal that plays in the Nepal Premier League. The team is coached by Basanta Shahi. It is owned by Kantipur Publications (Kathmandu Sports Development Ventures Pvt. Ltd.).[1][2]

History

Formerly known as Kantipur Gurkhas, Kathmandu Gurkhas were one of the six franchises that took part in the inaugural 2014 season Nepal Premier League, where they finished fourth on the league table.[3][4][5]

On 5 September 2024, the Kantipur Publications Pvt. Ltd. bought the team for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) through a bidding process for रू3.33 crore (US$250,000).
