Kamren Kinchens (born September 29, 2002) is an American professional football safety for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, earning All-American honors in 2022.

Early life

Kinchens attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School in Miami, Florida. A four-star recruit, he committed to play college football at the University of Miami.[1][2][3]

College career

Kinchens played in all 12 games and started the final five of his true freshman year at Miami in 2021 and had 44 tackles.[4][5] He returned to Miami as a starter in 2022. Against Georgia Tech, he tied a school record with three interceptions.[6] He finished the year with 59 tackles, six interceptions, and one touchdown. He was named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports.[7] Kinchens declared for the 2024 NFL draft following the 2023 season.[8]

Kinchens was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round with the 99th overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft.[11]

In his rookie season, Kinchens returned an interception 103 yards for a touchdown to help the Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9, earning NFC Defensive Player of the Week.[12]
