Kamari Ramsey (born August 24, 2004) is an American football safety for the USC Trojans. He previously played for the UCLA Bruins.

Early life and high school

[edit]

Ramsey attended high school at Sierra Canyon School located in Los Angeles, California. Coming out of high school, Ramsey was rated as a four-star recruit, where he initially committed to play college football for the Stanford Cardinal.[1][2] However, Ramsey decided to de-commit from Stanford and flip his commitment to play for the UCLA Bruins.[3][4]

College career

[edit]

UCLA

[edit]

During Ramsey's first collegiate season in 2022, he used the season to redshirt, playing in just four games totaling six tackles.[5][6] In week twelve of the 2023 season, Ramsey tallied four tackles in a win over rival USC.[7] In the 2023 season, Ramsey notched 40 tackles with two and a half being for a loss, five pass deflections, and an interception, while allowing just eleven receptions.[8][9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Ramsey decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[10][11]

USC

[edit]

Ramsey decided to transfer to play for the USC Trojans.[12][13]
