Kępa [ˈkɛmpa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Łubniany, within Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of Łubniany and 6 km (4 mi) north of the regional capital Opole.
The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word kępa, meaning a small island on a river or lake.[2]
