Jyaire Brown (born February 15, 2004)[1] is an American football cornerback for the LSU Tigers. He previously played for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Brown attended high school at Warren Easton High School for his freshman and sophomore season before transferring to Lakota West during his junior year.[2] In Brown's senior season, he notched five interceptions as well as bringing in 26 receptions for 416 yards and four touchdowns.[3] Coming out of high school, Brown was rated as a four star recruit, the 19th best cornerback, and the 155th overall player in the class of 2022.[4] Brown also held offers from schools such as Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ohio State.[5] Ultimately, Brown decided to commit to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[6][7]
College career
[edit]Ohio State
[edit]In week four of the 2022 season, Brown got his first career start versus Wisconsin where he notched a tackle and broke up a pass.[8] Brown finished his freshman season in 2022 playing in ten games, making one start, where he totaled eight tackles, three pass deflections, and a forced fumble.[9] However in 2023, Brown played in just four games making one tackle.[10] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Brown decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[11][12]
LSU
[edit]Brown decided to transfer to continue his career with the LSU Tigers.[13][14]
