Life and career
[edit]In 2012, Chemla appeared in Camille Rewinds,[3] for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 38th César Awards.[4]
On 10 April 2020, during the coronavirus lockdown, Chemla was one of a handful of people to take part in a Good Friday service led by Michel Aupetit, Archbishop of Paris, in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, still being rebuilt after being damaged by fire a year earlier. All wore protective clothing.[5] Chemla read, and gave an a capella rendition of Ave Maria.[6]
Clemia had two children who were born 2010 - One with James Thierrée and another in 2017 with her former husband Yohan Manca. in 2022 Manca was arrested for domestic violence towards Chemla [7] She recounts, among other things, this relationship in her book Notre silence nous a laissées seules ("Our Silence Left Us Alone"), published in January 2024.[8]
