John Strand

John Gregory Strand is a contemporary American playwright.[1] Among his plays are Lincolnesque,[2][3][4] Three Nights in Tehran,[5] The Diaries,[6] Otabenga,[7][8] and The Originalist.[9][10] [11][12][13][14][15][16][17] Tom Walker is an adaption of The Devil and Tom Walker by Washington Irving.[18] He has also written a number of English-language adaptions of plays written in French: among these are Lovers and Executioners (Antoine Jacob de Montfleury's La Femme Juge et Partie);[19][20][21] The Miser (Molière);[22] Lorenzaccio (Alfred de Musset);[23] Hat! (Eugène Labiche's Un Chapeau de Paille d'Italie);[24][25] and Hernani (Victor Hugo).[26]
