John L. Dodd is an American lawyer who serves as the 116th president general of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution.
Career
[edit]Dodd became an attorney in 1986, after graduating from Western State University College of Law.[1][2] He owns a law firm and has served on various county and state board commissions in California.[1][3]
He formerly worked as a staff attorney at the California Court of Appeal.[4] Dodd served as a member of the Orange County Bar Association Board of Directors, the California Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation, and chaired the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State of California.[4]
Sons of the American Revolution
[edit]He joined the Sons of the American Revolution in 2001 and served as chapter president, California state president, national trustee, vice-president general of the Western District, national chancellor general, treasurer, secretary general, and president general of the society.[1] He also served on the board of the SAR Foundation.[1]
Personal life
[edit]Dodd lives with his wife, Karen, in Orange County, California.[1]
