From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joel J. Kramer (born September 10, 1957) is an American stuntman, film director, and second unit director, most known for his work with Michael Mann, James Wan, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Life and career

[edit]

Kramer was born on September 10, 1957, in Tucson, Arizona.

He started his stunt career on the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Predator before beginning his second unit directing career on Michael Mann's Heat.

In January 2018, Kramer was accused by actress Eliza Dushku for sexual molestation when she was 12 during production of the 1994 film True Lies, of which he served as stunt co-ordinator.[1] Days later, two more women have come out with accusations of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct against him, including an account of him having sex with a 10th grade girl during production of the 1999 film Virus.[2][3] Kramer has denied the charges before being dropped from his talent agency.[4] Since then, Kramer has not had any work in either stunts or second unit direction, with his last credit being the 2017 film Blade Runner 2049.

Among the films he's directed second unit on include Furious 7, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Death Sentence, Ready to Rumble, Terminator: Genisys, This is 40, The Negotiator, Red Eye, Father's Day, and Central Intelligence.[5]
