Jo Lloyd is a Welsh writer who won the 2019 BBC National Short Story Award. Her debut short story collection, The Earth, Thy Great Exchequer, Ready Lies, was published in 2021 and shortlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize.

Biography

Lloyd grew up in south Wales and now lives there.[1][2]

Lloyd won the 2019 BBC National Short Story Award for her short story The Invisible.[1] She wrote one of the O. Henry Prize Stories in 2018.[1][2] Lloyd has also won an Asham Award and the Willesden Herald International Short Story Prize.[2]

Her debut short story collection, The Earth, Thy Great Exchequer, Ready Lies, was published in 2021.[3] It was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize the same year.[4]
