James Allen Westby (born March 5, 1937) is an American former ice hockey defenseman and Olympian.
Playing career
[edit]Westby played with Team USA at the 1964 Winter Olympics held in Innsbruck, Austria.[1] He previously played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the University of Minnesota.
Personal life
[edit]Westby's grandson, Jimmy Snuggerud, is a college ice hockey player for Minnesota and was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues.[2]
