Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (born December 24, 2002) is an American professional football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Clemson Tigers. He is the son of former NFL linebacker Jeremiah Trotter.
Early life
[edit]Trotter grew up in Hainesport Township, New Jersey and attended St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1][2] He was selected to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl as a senior.[3] Trotter was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at Clemson over offers from South Carolina, Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Michigan State.[4]
College career
[edit]Trotter joined the Clemson Tigers as an early enrollee in January 2021.[5] He played in 13 games as a freshman and finished the season with 22 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack.[6] Trotter was named a starter at linebacker entering his sophomore season.[7][8] He was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Linebacker of the Week for Week 7 after making 13 tackles in a 34-28 win over Florida State.[9] Trotter finished the season with 89 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble and was named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press.[10]

Trotter was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2024 NFL draft.
Personal life
[edit]He is the son of Jeremiah Trotter, who played 12 seasons as an NFL linebacker.[13] His brother, Josiah, is also a linebacker who plays for West Virginia. Trotter is also a cousin of former NFL running back Terrance Ganaway.[14]
