Jaylene Tyme is the stage name of Jaylene McRae,[1] a Canadian drag performer who appeared on Canada's a Drag and will compete on the upcoming fifth season of Canada's Drag Race.[2][3]

Personal life

Jaylene Tyme is a two-spirit Indigenous trans woman. She is a survivor of the Sixties Scoop, where she was removed from her Indigenous home and placed into a settler family. She was separated from her brother at age three and lived in five different homes before age four.[4] She first discovered drag in Calgary, Alberta before moving to Vancouver.[4] Jaylene Tyme is sober, having been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction since the late 1990s.[4] She is based in Vancouver as of 2024.[3]
