Jake Slaughter is an American football center for the Florida Gators.
Early life and high school
[edit]Slaughter attended Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, Florida. He was rated as a three-star recruit and held offers from schools such as Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Arkansas and Utah.[1] Slaughter initially committed to play college football for the Florida State Seminoles before flipping his commitment to play for the in-state rivals Florida Gators.[2]
College career
[edit]Slaughter took a redshirt season in 2021, only appearing in one game for the Gators.[3] In 2022, he appeared in all 13 games for the Gators, mostly on special teams.[4] In 2023, Slaughter appeared in all 12 games for Florida, while getting his first time as a starter, making eight starts at center.[5] In 2024, Slaughter started all 13 games for the Gators and earned first-team all-SEC and first-team All-American honors.[5]
