Jaipur National University (JNU), is a private university located in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India.
History
[edit]Jaipur National University came into existence in the year 2007. Two professional institutes of the Seedling Academy, established in 2002, with several technical and professional programs of studies, were re-branded as a university.[citation needed] The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f).[1] The School of Distance Education and Learning was accorded approval by the Joint Committee of the AICTE- DEC for offering certain programs through Distance Education mode.[citation needed]

Accreditation
[edit]Jaipur National University and its degrees are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC),[3] All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).[4] They are authorized to deliver distance learning course per the Distance Education Bureau (DEB).[5] The university was accredited by the NAAC (National Accreditation and Assessment Council) in 2015.[6][7]
The university is accredited by the Bar council of India, Pharmacy Council of India,[8] Indian Nursing Council (INC),[9] National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE),[10] Bar Council of India[11] and Medical Council of India (MCI).[12]
Ranking
[edit]The university has been ranked by India Today in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as one of India's Top 30 universities.[13]
BioSpectrum India has ranked the university in the Top 20 Biotech schools.[14]
