Isoplectron aciculatum is a species of cave weta that is endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 1937 by Heinrich Hugo Karny from male and female specimens.[1]

Description

The body is coloured light rusty brown, darkly marbled dorsally. The abdomen and thorax have dark markings.[1]

Distribution

This species is only known from New Zealand.[1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened"[2]
