The channel is headquartered at Hyderabad, India, with studios in Delhi and Hyderabad.[1] It provides coverage from both Indian and international viewpoints.

History

[edit]

India Ahead is an Indian news channel that was initially led by Chetan Sharma, who served as the Founding CEO and Editorial Director.[2] In June 2020, the Andhra Prabha Group's Managing Director, Mootha Goutam, announced significant changes in the channel's senior management.

Sudeep Mukhia, a former executive from CNN-News18, joined India Ahead as Group President, overseeing News Room Operations and Editorial Strategies. Additionally, Bhupendra Chaubey was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief, while Sudha Sadanand took on the role of Editorial President.[3] These appointments were part of the channel's efforts to enhance its editorial and operational capacities.

[edit]

The channel became the No.1 channel, in terms of average time spent by viewers during the Budget Week, among all English News Channels in India.[4]

[edit]

India Ahead is available on all major direct to home platforms and cable television operators[5] as a Free-to-Air channel.[6] Also, the channel is available through its mobile app on the Google Play store[7] and the App Store.
