The Imamzadeh Ali ibn Jafar is a religious monument dates back to the 8th century A.H. and is located in Qom, Iran, Enghelab St. (Chahar Mardan), next to Golzar Shohada of Qom. This monument was registered as one of Iran's national heritage works on December 7, 1935, with registration number 240.[1][2] With the same name, a court has been reported for Imamzadeh Ali ibn Jafar in Semnan, which is famous for Imamzadeh Ali ibn Jafar Semnan.[3][4]

Abbas Qomi has said in the book Muntahi al-Amal that Ali ibn Jafar, a respectable and polite gentleman, was extremely pious. He was a great scholar, and a hadith narrator and he had a great grace. He served elders like Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, but according to the author of the major book of Omdat ol-Mataleb, Ali ibn Jafar understood the time of Imam Ali al-Hadi and served him too; That is, he understood the life of the five Shia Imams, and he continuously authorized his honorable brother Imam Musa al-Kazim. Ali ibn Jafar obtained the permission from his brother Imam Musa al-Kazim to narrate the religious courses and Prophet Muhammad's sayings to those who are interested.[5][6]
