"If I Say, I Love You" (Korean: 오늘만 I Love You; lit. Just for today I love you) is a song recorded by South Korean boy group BoyNextDoor. It was released as a digital single by KOZ Entertainment on January 6, 2025.
Background and release
[edit]On December 14, 2024, during BoyNextDoor's "Knock On Vol. 1" tour in Incheon, the group announced their first digital single "If I Say, I Love You", later confirmed by their label KOZ on December 17.[1] Concept photos for the single were released on December 27 and 28.[2] "If I Say, I Love You", alongside its music video, was released on January 6, 2025.[3]
Composition
[edit]"If I Say, I Love You" was composed by Pop Time, Kako, Ryo, rapper and KOZ founder Zico, and BoyNextDoor members Taesan and Woonhak, and co-written by Kako and Woonhak. Additionally, Pop Time, Daily, and Likey assisted in the song arrangement. The song was described as a dance-pop song that is "fresh but relatable" to the members of BoyNextDoor as it contains "realistic lyrics about suffering from a breakup".[3]
Promotion
[edit]On the day of the single's release, its music video was screened on the digital billboard of Shinsegae's Myeongdong Main Store in Jung District, Seoul.[4] This also marks the second time a K-pop artist's music video has been screened here, following BTS' V in 2024.[4]
