Ibrahim Khan Sanjrani Fort (Balochi: چکانسوری کلات or ابراهیمخان سنجرانی کلات) is located in Nimruz Province, Chakhansur District, Afghanistan. The castle is believed to have a 400-year history.[1][2]
History
[edit]The fort is reported to belong to the Sanjrani Chiefdom.[3] The battle between Ibrahim Khan Sanjrani Baloch and Abdur Rahman Khan took place on 1299/1882. Ibrahim Khan were defeated and the Afghan governor of Farāh captured the fort.[2]
Current status
[edit]Many parts of the castle are crumbling due to erosion and is at risk of deterioration.[1]
