Very good work! You might find WP:SET to be a useful addition
particularly for the tutorial on using search engines for research... LittleBen (talk) 14:37, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sounds good - were do you suggest we add it - to what section. I also just found Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Adventure does this look active or complete to you?Moxy (talk) 19:11, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Bold page move reverted
I have reverted the bold move to Help:Outline of help resources User accessibility should be the primary concern over long winded titles. Yes there are redirects from H:index and H:directory already but why have this odd title when the simpler redirects are there to be used and have a better chance of someone searching for them - why send our editors/readers on a chase to find the page. This is seen in the page view stats that were around 250 plus a day at old location vs 80 now. "Outline of help resources" may technically be correct - however that title leaves a lot to be desired in the way of user accessibility in finding the page when it comes to searching for a help type index or directory. The page should be titled something simple like the other in the series (was my intent when creating the page)Wikipedia:Help desk, Wikipedia:Maintenance, Wikipedia:Editor's index, Wikipedia:List of shortcuts, Wikipedia:Department directory, Wikipedia:Tips, Wikipedia:Quick directory, Wikipedia:Community portal, Wikipedia:Requests, Wikipedia:Wikipedia abbreviations. This is why I prefer the "Wikipedia" name space - to match the others like it - and the fact it encompasses alot more then just "help" pages - however Help:Directory would be my second choice. Please gain consensus before moving the page again as the recent bold move has been contested.Moxy (talk) 17:24, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Requested move
Wikipedia:Help index → Wikipedia:Help directory – After some consideration following the bold move to an absurd title I reverted I realizes it should really be at Wikipedia:Help directory. The page should be titled something simple like the other in the series (was my intent when creating the page) Wikipedia:Help desk, Wikipedia:Maintenance, Wikipedia:Editor's index, Wikipedia:List of shortcuts, Wikipedia:Department directory, Wikipedia:Tips, Wikipedia:Quick directory, Wikipedia:Community portal, Wikipedia:Requests, Wikipedia:Wikipedia abbreviations. This is why I prefer the "Wikipedia" name space - to match the others like it - and the fact it encompasses alot more then just "help" pages like with the Wikipedia:Help desk - however Help:Directory would be my second choice. I do see that it is more then an index at this point, but no need for odd title. Looking for input on all this - I will fix the redirects on templates and See also sections of pages after this talk.
- Current redirects are...
- H:INDEX
- Help:Directory
- Help:Index
- Wikipedia:HINDEX
- Wikipedia:Help directory
- Wikipedia:Help index
- Wikipedia:Help pages

- Possibly the title with the most benefits would be Help:Contents/Directory, because this is a table of contents and a core help page. Naming it as a subpage would make it show up in search results of "contents" (more traffic), and this would give it a backlink to the main help page. The Transhumanist 21:24, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thats not a bad title at all (I like the link feature) - I did some research and found "help pages" and "help index" were the most used search parameter when looking for help contest. That said I guess the redirects are still there anyways and do show up on a search. I am ok with this move...its done .... Should we fix all the redirects?Moxy (talk) 01:31, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Like the changes
I like the changes (the wording specifically) - but have one problem big problem - that is having Help contents by topic first and directories first. The whole point of this page is so people are not stuck in the process of going to the next page again and again like the other help pages. Lets try not to send people a wild-goose chase with the first links they encounter. List of list should be at the bottom in my opinion not the top. I move Help contents by topic and Miscellaneous help lists to the bottom. The page seemed backwards. Just concerned that people will just see what they see at other help page - links to links - instead of links to info. Its why I created the page - complaints that its all links to links not links to info. We a have a problem in Wiki that the right info is always just one more click away if you choice the right path - if not go back 4 pages and start again. Moxy (talk) 22:31, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
