Hamid Motahari (Persian: حمید مطهری) born on 25 April 1974 in Tehran, Iran, is an Iranian football coach and former player. He currently serves as the head coach of Nassaji Mazandaran.[1][2][3]
Early life
[edit]Hamid Motahari born in Tehran, Iran, on 25 April 1974. He is married and has a daughter named Harir.[4]
Club career
[edit]Motahari began his career as a midfielder with the youth team Vahdat and also played for both the youth and senior teams simultaneously.[5] He later joined Persepolis after playing for teams such as Sepahan and Keshavarz. However, his playing career at Persepolis was cut short due to a serious injury.
International career
[edit]Motahari represented Iran in the U-20 team from 1991 to 1993 and the U-23 team from 1993 to 1995
Managerial career
[edit]Saba Qom
[edit]In 2007, Motahari started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Saba Qom.
Rah Ahan
[edit]In 2009, at the age of 35, Motahari joined Rah Ahan as a coach. He served as an assistant coach in the technical staff of the club for about two years.
Persepolis U-23
[edit]In 2014, Motahari became the head coach of Persepolis U–23.
Saipa
[edit]Motahari joined Saipa in the subsequent year.
Paykan
[edit]In 2016, Motahari signed a contract with Paykan and worked as an assistant coach under Majid Jalali for two years.
