Gregory Adams (born August 18, 1987) is an American musician and guitarist from Lodi, CA. He is best known for his live guitar work with singer-songwriters Brandon Tyler, Jesse Pino, and Ted Sablay.
Music Career
[edit]Brandon Tyler (2007–2015)
[edit]In 2007, Adams took on role as guitar player for singer-songwriter Brandon Tyler[1]'s live shows. Performing Something About Dreams[2] with other members, Tyler Gregory, Lee John Madeloni, and Josiah Walker. Before touring in support of third EP Turbulence[3], held at the Guild Theater[4][5] in Stockton, CA, the release show was opened by singer-songwriter Megan Slankard.[6]
Jesse Pino (2016-present)
[edit]Adams relocated to Las Vegas, NV joining singer-songwriter and local native Jesse Pino[7]'s project The Vital Signs.[8][9] The 2018 release show for Signal Received EP was held at Vinyl Las Vegas at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.[10][11]
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, in February 2020, Adams, Pino, and drummer Rob Whited recorded at Battle Tapes[12] studio in Nashville, TN.[13] Recorded by Grammy award winning engineer Jeremy Ferguson[14][15][16] and produced by David Hopkins.[17] Mixed and mastered by James Doviak,[18][19] released on Geykido Comet Records.[20][21]
During the pandemic, Adams, Pino, and Whited recorded a cover of Only a Shadow[22] by Martin Newell's The Cleaners from Venus. Released July 2020, the tracks were recorded remotely and then mixed at Adams' home studio.[23]
A remake of Peter Murphy's Cuts You Up[24] was also recorded, but not released until October 31, 2024.[25]
Rabid Young (2017–2018)
[edit]Adams played guitar for synth-driven electro, rock band Rabid Young[26] for a summer run of shows and EP release.[27][28]
O WILDLY (2018–2019)
[edit]With Las Vegas American Rock band O WILDLY,[29] Adams played Bass.[30][31] In 2018 they opened for Train,[32][33] Blues Traveler[34] and played the Life is Beautiful Festival.[35][36]
Ted Sablay (2023-present)
[edit]In 2023, Adams began playing guitar live for Ted Sablay.[37][38] Opening a number of dates for The Wallflowers[39][40] and Chris Isaak,[41] as well as playing in Zion National Park.[42]
