Grayson James is an American football quarterback for the Boston College Eagles. He previously played for the FIU Panthers.
Early life and high school
[edit]James attended Duncanville High School located in Duncanville, Texas. Coming out of high school, James was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the FIU Panthers.[1][2]
College career

[edit]During James's first three seasons at FIU from 2021 through 2023, James appeared in twenty games with ten starts, where he completed 247 of his 22 passing attempts for 2,342 yards and 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, while also 256 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, while being named honorable mention all Conference-USA in 2022.[3][4][5][6][7] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, James decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[8][9]
Boston College
[edit]James decided to transfer to play for the Boston College Eagles.[10][11] In week four of the 2024 season, James made his first start for Boston College, where he completed 19 of his 32 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for a touchdown, as he lead the Eagles to a win over the Western Kentucky Hiltoppers.[12] In week eleven, James entered the game for starter Thomas Castellanos after he was bencehd, where James completed five of his six pass attempts for 51 yards and a touchdown, as he led the Eagles to a win over the Syracuse Orange.[13] In week twelve, James made his second start for the Eagles where he completed 18 of his 32 pass attempts for 237 yards and a touchdown, while also adding a touchdown on the ground, but Boston College would fall to the SMU Mustangs.[14]
