Nikhil Anand founded the Glamanand Group after his participation in the Mr. North India 2013 competition.[6] In 2014, he established Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which acquired the national franchise rights for Miss Earth and Miss International in 2015.[7]
The inaugural pageant, "Glamanand Super Model India", was held on 4 November 2015 at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, New Delhi. This event selected India's representatives for Miss Earth, Miss International, and Miss Tourism World in 2015. Supriya Aiman became the first competitor to win the title of Glamanand Miss International India. The pageant was held annually until 2022.[8][9]
In 2020, the Glamanand Group acquired the license for Miss Grand International. To select India's representative for this competition, the organization introduced Miss Grand India in 2023. Arshina Sumbul, the first Miss Grand India, reached the top 20 at Miss Grand International 2023, held in Vietnam. At Miss Grand India 2023, Sophiya Singh was initially chosen to represent India at the Miss Tourism World pageant. However, in 2024, her title was changed to Miss Asia Pacific International India, and she went on to represent India at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024, held in the Philippines. There, Singh reached the top 20 and also won the Continental Queen of Asia title.[10][11]
In 2024, the group acquired four international pageant licenses: Miss Asia Pacific International (based in the Philippines), Miss Charm and Miss Cosmo International (both based in Vietnam) and Miss Universe (based in the United States). The acquisition of Miss Universe, one of the world's Big Four international beauty pageants, led the group to launch Miss Universe India in 2024. The Miss Universe India introduced state franchises to select their representatives for the national finals. Additionally, a national-level audition was held, where the chosen delegates were awarded wildcard entries to the national finals. Indian citizens living abroad were also introduced as NRI (Non-Resident Indians) finalists.[12][13]
The first Miss Universe India 2024 was held on September 22, 2024, and won by Rhea Singha. She will now represent India at Miss Universe 2024, set to be held on November 16, 2024, in Mexico.

Glamanand Group's inaugural international pageant representatives were sent in 2015 to compete in Miss International 2015, Miss Earth 2015, and Miss Tourism World 2015. Unfortunately, none of the delegates progressed to the semifinals.[14]
In 2018, the group acquired its first international pageant, Miss Teen International. Ritika Khatnani, the group's delegate, was first runner-up at the first Miss Teen International held in Gurgaon.[15][16]
In 2019, the group achieved its first international win when Aayushi Dholakia won Miss Teen International 2019.[17][18]
In 2020, Miss Grand India 2023 Arshina Sumbul, represented India at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam, and reached the top 20.[citation needed]
On October 25, 2024, Rachel Gupta became the first Indian to win Miss Grand International in Thailand. This was the group's first international win, excluding those from its own pageant. Gupta was the fourth representative sent by the group to compete at Miss Grand International.[19]
