From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Giovanni Emmanuel Uribe, (born February 17, 1984) is a Mexican universal visual artist and poet.[1] During 2009-2013 he studied at York University in Toronto, Ontario, where he earned his BA (Hons). At York University he met the Canadian art critic Ken Carpenter who introduce him to the Czech-Canadian abstract painter Joseph Drapell. For three years Uribe was Drapell's assistant.[2] Drapell taught him, his compression technique, which he developed at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in 1969.[3] Uribe is the creator of the art movement named Cosmic Transfiguration. Cosmic Transfiguration is a contemporary art movement that explores the intersection between the human unconscious, the vastness of the universe, and the evolving nature of consciousness. Rooted in the principles of abstract art, this movement seeks to transcend traditional boundaries of form and medium, offering a multi-dimensional exploration of reality. Drawing inspiration from ancient cultures, quantum physics, and spiritual philosophies, Cosmic Transfiguration aims to unlock hidden dimensions of existence, using art as a conduit for deeper truths and universal connections. Mr. Uribe currently lives in the Yucatan Peninsula.
