Gautama Bai Holkar

Maharani Gautama Bai Holkar [Tai Sahib] was one of the queens of Malhar Rao Holkar, Maharaja of Indore. After the death of her husband in 1766, she and daughter-in-law Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar took over the reins of the Holkar state as, the wife of Maharaja Khanderao Holkar. The name of the Holkar Empire was written in golden letters.
