Filipa Patão (born 6 March 1989) is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player who is currently the head coach of Campeonato Nacional Feminino club Benfica. She was nominated to compete for the 2024 Ballon d'Or in the Women's Coach of the Year Award.
International career
[edit]Having previously played four times for the under-19s, she made her debut for Portugal women in 2011, in a UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifier match against Austria.[2]
Managerial career
[edit]On 27 December 2020, Filipa Patão was announced as the new head coach of Benfica.[3] She made her debut on 3 January 2021 winning 3-0 against C.F. Benfica, in a Campeonato Nacional Feminino match.[4]
