Summary

Description
English: Water can be a solid, liquid, and gas depending on the conditions it is in. This diagram shows the amount of heat energy needed to turn water from a solid, to a liquid, to a gas. At 0°C, freezing occurs (1). At 100°C, evaporation occurs (2). These spots show where water changes into a different phase.
