U.S. Army Transport Lawton at Seattle, Washington, on 5 June 1900 preparing for a voyage to Cape Nome, Alaska. This ship, built in 1890, served in the Navy from 1898 to 1900 as the auxiliary cruiser Badger and again in 1902-1907 as the transport Lawton.
