Description

Il est né, le divin Enfant, is an nineteenth-century French Christmas carol based on the melody of the 17th-century hunting song "La tête bizarde", as adapted for R. Grosjean's Airs des noêl lorrain (1862). The lyrics were first published in "Noêls anciens" (1875-76) by Dom G. Legeay (with the tune). It is here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010.
