Longdendale in Derbyshire is the valley of the River Etherow. The Longdendale Chain is a series of reservoirs built to provide drinking water forManchester. The Woodhead reservoir is the highest in the chain, and the last to be finished. Taken from the 1992 embankment (6.7m above the 1877 original level) , This is a view over Torside Reservoir. Weather and light difficult.
