Summary
[edit]36-second sample of "Kylie Said to Jason (edit)" by The KLF.
Written by Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty.
Source: "Kylie Said to Jason", KLF Communications KLF 010, July 1989.
Copyright 1989 KLF Communications.
This excerpt serves to illustrate the The KLF composition "Kylie Said to Jason", an electropop song which references Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, The Good Life and Skippy, and which Drummond and Cauty say was influenced by Pet Shop Boys. The song is indicative of a musical direction of The KLF that was abandoned when "Kylie Said to Jason" failed to make the UK Singles Chart Top 100.

Fair use rationale This is a sound sample from a commercial recording. Its inclusion here is claimed as fair use because:
- it illustrates an educational article that specifically discusses the song from which this sample was taken
- it is a sample of about 30 seconds from a much longer recording, and could not be used as a substitute for the original commercial recording; and
- it is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted sample of comparable educational value.
- it is believed that this sample will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original recording.
I believe that this use of the excerpt is in good faith, and that its inclusion enhances rather than reduces the commercial value of the recording from which it was drawn. --Vinoir 01:47, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
