Svenska: TEKANNA med lock. Av rött Yixing stengods. Tryckt päronformig, övre delen avskuren, bildande lock med rund knopp. Godset rödbrunt. Föremålet är försett med 1600-tals tillverkaren Hui Mengchens namn, men är ändå troligen från 1900-talet då hans namn ofta kopierades.. Stämpeln läses "Hui Mengchen, 惠孟臣” sen Ming - tidig Qing berömd Yixing tillverkare. Inköpt av Wilhelmina von Hallwyl 1891, hos konsthandlare Eduard Kahlert, Eisenach, Tyskland. English: Yixing stoneware teapot. Early Republican Period, 1912-1923. Bears the mark of the 17th century Yixing maker Hui Mengchen, but probably 19th century.Leaf mark to right commonly found on Chinese woodblock prints, also copied onto inscriptions on ceramics. Mark reads “Hui Mengchen, 惠孟臣” late Ming - early Qing famous Yixing maker. The mark to the left in the circle I am not sure, could be workman’s mark? Almost certainly not Hui Mengchen, this mark was often copied. |
