Other information | Under Salvadoran Decree No. 604 passed by the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador on August 16, 1993, which covers the nation's copyright laws, the image is being used within fair use since it is being used in an educational manner and was taken and published by the Government of El Salvador.
Title II, Chapter III, Article 45, Clause C states "Reproduction by reprographic means, for teaching or taking examinations in educational institutions, provided there is no profit-making purpose and to the extent justified by the objective pursued, of articles, brief extracts or short works legally published, on condition of that such use is made in accordance with honest uses" Title II, Chapter X, Article 87 states "If the State is the heir, legatee or donee of copyright and does not make use of the rights within a period of five years from the transfer, the work will pass into the public domain. Otherwise, the work will pass into the public domain, in accordance with the provisions of the previous article." |
