Purpose of use	To demonstrate the general animation style of the anime School Rumble and how they incorporate gags into the structure of the visual medium that works on multiple levels that can appeal both to the average viewer and on another level to those familiar with some inside in-jokes without alienating either audience. In addition it also shows how the narrative constructs nearly identical, but parallel thought patterns between Harima and Tenma which is present throughout the series. In both cases it is used in a manner that neither words alone could not portray and an image or audio clip would not suffice.
