Description
English: RCA Model EMT3 desktop electron microscope unit with electron gun, stage, electron optics and screen. ca. 1950. Manufactured by the Radio Company of America. Made in Camden, NJ. Large u-shaped unit is attached to a triangular shaped base; attached to front of unit is a platform with a rectangular screen and a vertical metal support; large aluminum cylinder is attached to support and has various rounds metal knobs and two key-shaped metal knobs at top; attached to top of aluminum cylinder is a large brass sphere; a large fabric coated hose attaches to back of dome and has a rubber coated gun like attachment (electron gun); one black rubber coated power cord and one fabric coated data cord are attached to back of u-shaped unit; a metal toggle switch is also on back of unit; plaque on back identifies maker, model, serial number
