English: Image of Psychodidae (drain- or moth flies) obtained by scanning electron microscopy with about 200-nm resolution, viewed from behind. The specimen was found in IBCh RAS (Moscow). The insects body and wings are covered with different hairy structures giving them a "furry" moth-like appearance. The main body is covered with very short hair. The back is covered with plates, along the edges of which long hair grows. Wings and whiskers are covered with long hair, while the legs and something like shrek's ears are covered with leaf-like structrures. The specimen is fixed on an adhesive conductive tape.
