Description
Nederlands: Volkert Herkinge was pastoor in Zwolle. Op dit portret is hij afgebeeld als hij na de dienst zijn zegen geeft aan de mensen in de kerk. Achter Herkinge staan twee zilveren kandelaars en een kruis, voorwerpen die nodig waren bij de mis. Zijn kleding bestaat uit speciale liturgische gewaden zoals een kazuifel (bovenkleed zonder mouwen) en een albe (het lange witte gewaad). Dit portret is rechtsboven gesigneerd en gedateerd (1650) door de kunstenares, Eva van Marle.
