Nederlands: Pieter Christiaansz Bor (1559-1635): Oorspronck, begin ende aenvang der Nederlantscher oorlogen/beroerten ende borgerlijcke oneenicheyden, 1595. Titelpagina. Allegorie. Drie jonge vrouwen ("Weelde", "Rijkdom", "Belgica") met een voorstelling van strijdende soldaten ("Libertas") worden aan een kust met kleine zeilschepen onder een boom belaagd door van links "Nieu Bisschoppen" met goudstukken (of boeken?) en van rechts een Spaanse gehelmde soldaat, die een "privilege" vertrapt en dreigt met vuur van de "Spaense inquisitci", galgestroppen en "Placaten" met drie zegels.
English: Pieter Christiaansz Bor (1559-1635): Oorspronck, begin ende aenvang der Nederlantscher oorlogen/beroerten ende borgerlijcke oneenicheyden, 1595. Title page. Allegory. Three young women (Wealth, Affluence, Belgica) are being waylaid by "new bishops" offering gold pieces (or books?, from the left) and a Spanish soldier under a tree, treading on a "privilege" and holding a menacing torch (Spanish inquisition), hangman's nooses and a placard (public notice of severe government measures) with three seals attached. In the background a sea or lake with many small sailing ships. The "Belgica" lady shows a scene of fighting soldiers and an impressive figure "Libertas".
