Summary

Description
English: Butyryl-CoA is an intermediate of the fermentation pathway found in Clostridium kluyveri. This species can ferment acetyl-CoA and succinate into butanoate. The fermentation pathway from ethanol to acetyl-CoA to butanoate is also known as ABE fermentation.
