English: Title page, Book III, Rogerii Bachonis Radix Mundi Translated out of Latin into English, and Claused, by William Salmon. Chapter XXXVII, page 585. From Medicina practica, or, Practical physick : shewing the method of curing the most usual diseases happening to humane bodies. As all sorts of aches and pains, apoplexies, agues, bleeding, fluxes, gripings, wind, shortness of breath, diseases of the breast and lungs, abortion, want of appetite, loss of the use of limbs, cholick, or belly-ach, apostems, thrushes, quinsies, deafness, bubo's, cachexia, stone in the reins, and stone in the bladder : with the preparation of the praecipiolum, or universal medicine of Paracelsus. To which is added, the philosophick works of Hermes Trismegistus, Kalid Persicus, Geber Arabs, Artesius Longaevus, Nicholas Flammel, Roger Bachon [sic] and George Ripley / all translated out of the best Latin editions into English ; and carefully claused, or divided into chapters, and sections, for the more pleasant reading, and easier understanding of those authors. Together with a singular comment upon the first book of Hermes, the most ancient of philosophers. The whole compleated in three books by William Salmon ... London : Printed for T.
