William Lloyd Garrison is indebted to Lydia Mott and her sister for their hospitality. Lizzie M. Powell was in Albany and returned with William L. Garrison to Ghent. Powell corresponds frequently with William Lloyd Garrison, Jr. William L. Garrison was warmly welcomed by her parents. In Springfield, William L. Garrison was entertained by Ebenezer Withington Thwing, whose son shares Garrison's name. In Northampton, Garrison was taken to the home of Seth Hunt. Garrison will lecture in the town hall. Garrison expects a small audience. No meeting was attempted in Albany. Frederick Douglass and Pryne spoke in favor of Gerrit Smith
