Français : Courage des femmes Souliotes
Subtitle: Conduites sur les derniers sommets du mont Kiapha que détenait Photos Tzavellas, les femmes souliotes interprètent le silence du feu des combattants épuisés de chaleur, comme une défaite des Grecs ; alors la mère de Photos crève d’un coup de hache un caisson de cartouches, les distribue à ses compagnes et à la tête de cent héroϊnes s’élance pour venger la nation ou mourir.

Υπότιτλος: Απωθούμενες στις τελευταίες κορυφές του όρους Κιάφα που κατέχει ο Φώτος Τζαβέλλας, οι Σουλιώτισσες ερμήνευσαν την κατάπαυση του πυρός των αγωνιστών, που ήσαν εξαντλημένοι από τη ζέστη, ως ήττα των Ελλήνων. Τότε η μητέρα του Φώτου θραύει με τσεκούρι ένα κιβώτιο φυσίγγια, τα μοιράζει στις συντρόφισσές της και επικεφαλής εκατό ηρωίδων ορμά για να εκδικηθεί το έθνος ή να πεθάνει.

English: Handcoloured double tinted lithograph of 1865, engraved by Claude Régnier, Joseph Bettannier and Antoine Morlon. The work is based on a painting by Alphonse-Marie-Adolphe de Neuville depicting Suliote women fighting during the battle of Kiafa in July 1792.
