English: The Hudson County Consumers Brewing Company was organised in 1899 and made its first public offering of beer in 1901. It operated successfully until Prohibition, during which time it produced ice. The sizeable plant was located at 481-515 Summit Avenue in West Hoboken, which in 1925 merged with Union Hill to form Union City), New Jersey. The property was acquired by the city early 1930s and the brewery buildings were razed. Roosevelt Stadium was built on the site with WPA funds and dedicated in 1935. The stadium was demolished to make way for UNion City High School
