DescriptionHorse trams loading on Wakefield Street Adelaide, ca 1909 (SLSA B-4398).jpg
English: Outside the Government Offices in Wakefield Street, near Victoria Square, a horse tram is stationary on each of the two tracks, ready to head eastwards. Nine well-dressed men in business clothes and a man in uniform are boarding double-deck tram no. 104 of the Adelaide and Suburban Tramways Company. A bowler-hatted man with umbrella, coat and pipe is looking directly at the photographer. A young conductor in a boater hat is on the back of the other tram, which is for Victoria Park race-goers. In the distance is a middle-of-the-road standard holding (or about to hold) the overhead wires for Adelaide's new electric tram service.
