Description
English: Specimen of a en:Hogna radiata, adult female, view from top. Location: took in the South West of France, Aquitaine.
The Hogna radiata is present in South Europa (from the middle of France), north Africa and Central Asia (N. I. Platnick). This species is wandering, hunting smaller insects less than 20% of its own size. Found on grass, parks, and forests.
Français : Tarentule radiée (Hogna radiata), spécimen prélevé dans le sud-ouest de la France.
On trouve Hogna radiata sur le pourtour méditerranéen, en Europe du sud, Afrique du nord et Asie centrale. En france elle s'étend du sud à l'ouest jusqu'en Bretagne. Cette araignée est mobile, elle chasse des insectes d'environ 20% de sa propre taille. Elle vit dans l'herbe ou dans sur sol forestier.
