Summary

Description
English: Grass walk under old puriri trees in the grounds of 'The Hill', the Nathan family's residence in Hill Road, Manurewa, circa 1935. These trees formed part of a stand of native bush which was fenced off from grazing cattle soon after the property was purchased. The Hill, which was acquired by Manurewa Borough Council in 1962, later became known as the Nathan Homestead.
