Summary

Description
English: Photo of the two steam turbine locomotives General Electric built for Union Pacific. After testing them after delivery in 1939, the railroad was unhappy with them both and returned them to GE in the same year received. It is believed GE dismantled both locomotives after UP returned them. The photo was taken at the GE plant at Erie, PA, as the locomotives prepared for their test run.
