English: Seed head (infructoscene) of carpinus austrobalcanica, a new species of tree, which was first described 2024 by Serbian and Austrian scientists. It is also called the southern Balkan hornbeam from the family Corylaceae, native to southern Balkan Peninsula.
Deutsch: Fruchtstand der Südbalkan-Hainbuche (carpinus austrobalcanica). Die neue Baumart wurde 2024 erstmals von serbischen und österreichischen Forscherinnen und Forschern beschrieben. Sie findet sich nur in Südalbanien und Nordwestgriechenland.
